Rahul Sharma is a Cloud Engineer with over four years of professional experience designing and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
Rahul began his career as a MuleSoft Developer, designing and building API-led integrations on the Anypoint Platform crafting API specifications, developing complex data transformation logic using DataWeave, and deploying integration workflows to CloudHub. That foundation in making systems talk to one another securely, reliably, and at scale laid the groundwork for a natural transition into cloud engineering, where those same principles apply across a broader and more complex infrastructure landscape.
Drawing on around four years of professional cloud engineering experience across AWS, and Azure, Rahul specializes in containerization, infrastructure automation, and secure cloud architecture. At Vanderbilt, he plays a role in advancing their cloud infrastructure and supporting their mission. Rahul aims to help BHL keep its technical systems stable, scalable, and ready to grow alongside the needs of its global community of researchers and partners.
Rahul holds a Master of Science in Information Technology & Security from Arizona State University and is also certified as an AWS Solutions Architect.
